"1/ A British teenager has been seriously injured after he was attacked in the Algarve in Portugal.

The 19-year-old was slashed in the neck with a sharp instrument, thought to be a knife.


He was attacked on a main street in Portimao, about 120 miles south of Lisbon, and his assailant fled, police said.
